Summer at the Cape

by RaeAnne Thayne

I’d like to start of by saying that I stumbled across this novel randomly, and the cover alone seemed so peaceful — which is the exact escape I needed at the time — so I went with it. With that said, only after reading Summer at the Cape, did I find out it was actually book 4 of a series.

In this story we follow two sisters, Violet & Cami, through a Summer at the Cape and their search for peace, family and understanding. Earlier that year, Violet & Cami lost their sister, Lily after a tragic accident that left their family, and the community at a loss. The true story is Cami & Violet’s growth, both together and individually. Lucky for me, since I picked it in hopes of a peaceful escape, Violet and Cami found what they were looking for and the journey was well earned.

If you’re looking for a happy ending, or a story about overcoming loss, and finding yourself, this novel might be right up your alley. You just might want to consider starting with The Cliff House, Book #1 of the Cape Sanctuary Series.
