Suleika Jaouad’s memoir takes us through the journey of her life, which was interrupted by an unwanted visitor (cancer), will resonate with anyone, no matter what paths their life has crossed. Her story starts just before her original diagnosis and through remission(s). Along the way, we meet a bunch of others along Suleika’s journey that are all going through their own obstacles and eye opening experiences.
Suleika’s life has been tough, and I can’t help but feel for her, yet admire her ambition to make the most out of every opportunity she gets, while honoring those she’s met through her own experience.
If you have a chance to read this memoir, I suggest it, but will warn you that you will be left feeling some type of way, and personal reflection will be imminent.
