This suspenseful read stars Elisa, who at times left to stand up for what she believes in, even when that goes against what your surrounding loved ones want to hear. You don’t know who you can trust, who is telling the truth, or who simply out for some good old revenge, until everything comes together between the pages. So many, “oh no, another?” and quite frankly I wouldn’t have asked for anything different. Some may not like the way Elisa was portrayed in this novel, but I personally think that it made the story even better. We’re able to see Elisa combat second guesses, and stay true to what she knows, and feels to be true, despite so many saying she was wrong, and needed help. I enjoyed reading this, and would love it if a second book came out covering one of the major revelations in the end! Highly recommend, for a quick, domestic suspense novel that leaves you asking, ‘Who exactly did they kill’? from the very start!
